Manager - Employee Benefits, Law Firm, New York, NY
- Managed and directed the employee benefits department of a major law firm.
- Designed various health benefit plans as well as 401(k) plans.
- Designed and composed benefit literature, including memos, brochures, handouts. Conducted employee benefit meetings, including partners meeting as well as attorney and staff meetings.
- Handled incoming requests, updates, complaints (via phone and email) for all benefits.
- Handled difficult claim matters and appeals.
- Took direct charge of an in-house Human Resources database project. Organized data collection and system implementation by establishing realistic target dates and follow-up.
- Originated and designed various reports for the Accounting Department, Records Department and the Management committee utilizing both the database and Lotus 123.
